Background
The Partner Network Meeting is designed to enhance networking among K4T key partners, facilitating the identification of synergies and opportunities for collaboration. At the same time, it offers a platform for engagement with German and European actors from the fields of policymaking, civil society, and international cooperation, with the objective of initiating sustainable partnerships.
Key objectives of the week
- Identify and leverage synergies between K4T partners by creating a space for strategic exchange, joint reflection, and the development of coordinated approaches.
- Initiate and deepen connections between African research institutions and German as well as European stakeholders
- Help shape the further direction of the K4T project based on identified opportunities.
Event goals
- Actionable Insights on the EU interface - politics, dynamics, opportunities: Leverage the insider knowledge of the speakers to provide K4T partners with practical strategies for navigating the complex EU policy space and understanding AU-EU and wider African European relations.
- Share Collaboration Experiences: present and explore successful cooperation experiences (like the APRI-EPC partnerships/collaborations), offer learnings for K4T partners to develop coordinated approaches for future evidence-based policymaking between Africa and Europe.
- Shape the Way Forward: Use the plenary reflections to deepen insights into opportunities for K4T members to engage at the EU level
