Dr. Brunilde Verrier is a senior research fellow at UCL's Energy Institute and the Institute for Sustainable Resources (ISR) at the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources (BSEER). She uses systems thinking and system dynamics to reveal hidden feedback in socio-technical systems, guiding policy and industry on sustainability and resilience. Recent work includes analysing informal electricity demand in Mathare, Nairobi, and contributing to a UNEP-IRP report on financing metals and minerals for sustainable energy. She is also an honorary fellow at the University of Queensland's Sustainable Minerals Institute (SMI), where she develops models on business, environmental hazards and social conflicts. She holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Environmental Management from the University of Strasbourg.
