Yu-Shan Wu is a Research Fellow with the Ocean Regions Programme, Department of Political Sciences, University of Pretoria. She holds a PhD (International Relations) from the same university. She is currently interested in the future of global order, specifically perspectives from the global South. Her other areas of interest include public diplomacy, ocean regions and Africa–China ties. She is the co-editor of South Africa–China Relations: A Partnership of Paradoxes (Palgrave), and was formerly with the Africa–China Reporting Project (ACRP) as well as the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA).
