Patience Mususa is Senior Researcher at the Nordic Africa Institute, Uppsala. Her research interests cover mining, welfare and urbanisation, the role of critical minerals for the energy transition, and urban climate politics with a regional focus on southern central Africa. Patience is author of the monograph ‘There Used to Be Order: Life on the Copperbelt after the privatisation of the Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines” with University of Michigan Press. She is also co-editor together with Stephen Marr of a special issue on ‘The Politics of Climate Action in Africa’s Cities’ with Urban Forum.
