Donald Ikenna Ofoegbu is a Nigerian economist and development expert with a distinguished track record in research, program management, advocacy, and policy formulation across fiscal and natural resource governance, ecological rights, climate change, food systems, and sustainable development. He holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan and has earned additional certificate in chemical risk management in agriculture from the International Labour Organisation (ILO). Donald is a 2018 Caux Scholar Fellow (Switzerland), recognized for his commitment to ethical leadership and conflict transformation.
Currently serving as Program Manager of the Sustainable Nigeria Program at the Heinrich Boell Stiftung (German Green Foundation) in Abuja, he has led pioneering initiatives in clean energy, environmental policy, and agricultural sustainability. A published researcher and active member of several professional networks, Donald is dedicated to advancing inclusive development, environmental stewardship, and innovative policy solutions in Nigeria and beyond
