Selly Ba holds a doctorate in sociology, specializing in gender issues related to religion, migration, and security. She has extensive experience in project management and technical assistance from roles at the United Nations (IOM), think tanks, government, and German development cooperation. Since 2017, she has directed her own consultancy firm, the Gender Expertise Group (GEG). With over fifteen years of experience, she has integrated and implemented gender equality for international firms and donors across Senegal and other WAEMU countries, including Germany, the European Union, and the World Bank. She is a committed human rights advocate and author of multiple publications.
