Background

The Africa Policy Research Institute (APRI) and ENDA ENERGIE invite you to participate in the multi-stakeholder workshop to share preliminary results of case studies on locally Leed adaptation experiences for the agriculture, coastal zone and health sectors, to be held on 06 February 2022 at the Fleur de Lys Point-E Hotel, Dakar, starting at 8:30 am.

The Africa Policy Research Institute (APRI), in close collaboration with ENDA ENERGIE, is implementing the research project on "Climate adaptation, strategies, practices and initiatives: issues and directions in Senegal" on the challenges of integrating local adaptation into climate action and adaptation policies.

In order to demonstrate the linkages between the NDC options and relevant local adaptation initiatives in Senegal, case studies were conducted for the agriculture sector in Daga Birame, the coastal zone in Dionewar and the health sector in Widdou Thingoly which have interesting experiences to document and capitalise in terms of lessons learned and good practices.

The objective of this workshop is to share the preliminary results of the case studies with stakeholders in climate action in Senegal in order to enrich and enhance them.
