Towards a Policy Fit for Purpose between Africa and Europe

APRI – Africa Policy Research Institute in collaboration with the Office of MEP Dr. Pierrette Herzberger-Fofana hosted the webinar 'Towards a Policy Fit for Purpose between Africa and Europe' on Wednesday, 16th February 2022 from 1400h-1530h CET.

The objective of the webinar was to explore the relationship between Africa and Europe and to collectively deliberate on strategies for a mutually beneficial partnership to enhance sustainable investment in key sectors for both continents. The webinar built on the volume edited by Olumide Abimbola and Faten Aggad.

Isabelle Ramdoo, Deputy Director at IGF - Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, Minerals and Metals for Sustainable Development moderated a panel discussion with Saliem Fakir – Executive Director, African Climate Foundation, Dr Cheikh Tidiane – Founder and Executive Director of the African Centre for Trade, Integration and Development (CACID), Dakar, Senegal, and  Ottilia Anna Maunganidze – Head of Special Projects in the Office of the Executive Director at the Institute for Security Studies, Pretoria, South Africa.
