There are 17 SDGs: no poverty; zero hunger; good health & well-being; quality education; gender equality; clean water & sanitation; affordable & clean energy; decent work & economic growth; sustainable industiralisation, resilient infrastructure & innovation; reduced inequalities; sustainable cities & communities; responsible consumption & production; climate action; life below water; life on land; peace, justice & strong institutions; and partnerships for the goals.
These are ambitious goals. At present they have had little real political impact and are unlikely to be met by 2030. Increasing climate change impacts, biodiversity loss and rising inequality risk progress. Nonetheless, work towards the goals continues.
