Explainer

National adaptation plans (NAPs) are a reference for how countries intend to adapt to the changing climate and need for transformation. First established under the Cancun Adaptation Framework and later incorporated into the Paris Agreement implementation processes, the NAP approach aims to build in resilience and adaptive capacity by integrating climate action into national social and economic development plans and processes.
