Climate change presents significant risks to the health and well-being of humans. Climate change impacts such as heatwaves, floods and destruction of health and social infrastructure influence the determinants of health and well-being such as the physical environment, water and air quality, especially in already vulnerable and at-risk communities in developing countries. Addressing climate-induced health risks and burdens also contributes to achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
