APRI - Africa Policy Research Institute in close collaboration with the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC), is hosting a one day workshop to launch the report on Locally-led Adaptation (LLA). The report is a result of the Climate Change Adaptation: Strategies, Initiatives, and Practices project, implemented by APRI with GCIC. The research report is based on a comprehensive study conducted across multiple regions in Ghana, encompassing diverse agro-ecological zones and communities.
The objectives of the workshop is to:
- Increase awareness and understanding of LLA practices and their significance in Ghana's climate change response;
- Stimulate discussions on integrating LLA into policy frameworks and development plans;
- Foster collaborations among policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and community representatives for knowledge sharing and capacity building;
- Generate interest and support for scaling up LLA initiatives through enhanced resource allocation and institutional and societal support.
