Eniola R. Sonuga is a lawyer, public policy advisor, and advocate for trade and economic development in Africa. She serves as Chief Policy Advisor at Optima Policy, a pan-African think tank focused on legal and policy solutions for Africa’s development. A published author, Eniola has contributed thought leadership on economic integration and trade, including papers on the AfCFTA and its operationalization through finance, technology, and land reform. She has spoken at high-level conferences hosted by UNECA, the European Commission, GIZ, and AFIELN.
Eniola is a member of Chatham House and the Harvard Kennedy School’s Women Alumni Network, where she serves on the W20 10-Year Policy Impact Reporting Team. She holds an LLB with First Class Honours from The University of Manchester and has completed executive education at Harvard, MIT, Cornell, and Oxford. With over a decade of experience, she remains committed to advancing inclusive economic growth across Africa.
